- Testing and certification are done by the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT), Pune.

- Five assessment verticals include Safe Driving, Accident Avoidance, Crash Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection, and Post-Crash Safety.
- The scheme aims to improve pedestrian safety and help India reduce road fatalities by 50% by 2030.
