  • Dilmun Civilization was thrived in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, mainly on the islands of Bahrain and Failaka Island in Kuwait.
  • It also had a presence in parts of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and the nearby Iranian coast in the Persian Gulf.
  • The civilization first took shape around 3200–3000 BCE as a modest trading hub.
  • By the early 3rd millennium BCE, Dilmun became a recognized power and a central trade link between Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley Civilization.
  • It supplied copper, pearls, and other goods, playing a key role in the Bronze Age economy.
  • After 1600 BCE, the civilization gradually declined and was eventually absorbed into Mesopotamia and Persia.
