  • These mosquitoes carry viruses that cause West Nile Virus illness and yellow fever.
  • Dengue is a mosquito-borne disease.
  • It is caused by the dengue virus of four distinct serotypes — DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4.
