- The black holes were spinning about 400,000 times faster than Earth.
- Scientists believe the black holes may have been formed from previous black hole mergers, explaining their large mass and rapid spin.
- So far, around 300 black hole mergers have been recorded, and this is the most massive and possibly most complex.
