- The 2nd ASEAN- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
- GCC, China and ASEAN agreed to “chart a unified and collective path towards a peaceful, prosperous, and just future”.
- The GCC comprises Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
- The ASEAN members are Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.
