- This day marks the adoption of the SAARC Charter (1985) at the first SAARC Summit in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- The 2025 event was aimed to strengthen regional cooperation in climate-resilient agriculture in South Asia.
- The keynote focused on “Regional Cooperation for Climate-Smart Livestock Food System in South Asia in the Context of One Health”.
- SAARC is an 8-member regional bloc: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
- The SAARC Secretariat is located in Kathmandu, Nepal.
