- The dives were conducted using the French submersible Nautile in collaboration with IFREMER, France.
- India now joins fewer than six nations capable of manned dives beyond 5,000 meters.
- The mission is a prelude to India’s Samudrayan Mission, aiming to reach 6,000 meters by 2027.
- The MATSYA-6000 submersible will carry three Indian aquanauts to 6,000 meters under the Deep Ocean Mission.
