- India recorded over 65,000 crore digital payment transactions totalling ₹12,000 trillion from fiscal years 2019 to 2025.
- Around 4.77 crore digital payment touchpoints have been deployed through the Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) since 2021.
- The PIDF was established by RBI to boost digital payment infrastructure in small towns, remote regions and north-eastern states.
