- India received the last of 16 Airbus C295 military transport aircraft from Seville, Spain, on 3 August 2025.
- Under the 2.5 billion United States dollar deal, 40 of the total 56 aircraft will be made in India by Tata Advanced Systems.
- The C295 is a multi-role tactical airlifter used for transport, surveillance, medical evacuation and other missions.
- This is the first Make in India project in the defence aircraft sector.
