BAM-H24 Rocket Fuel

The Indian Patent Office granted a patent to DRDO and the University of Hyderabad for the solid rocket propellant BAM-H24.
BAM-H24 is a boron-, hydrogen- and nitrogen-rich energetic compound designed for use as solid rocket fuel, fuel additive or burn-rate accelerator.
It is described as chemically and thermally stable, non-hygroscopic, and highly insensitive to impact and friction.
The compound was developed by researchers from the Advanced Centre of Research in High Energy Materials (ACRHEM) and the University of Hyderabad.
The material is intended for defence propulsion systems and space launch vehicles.
