- Cho-La is located at 17,780 feet and was a conflict site between India and China in 1967.
- The sites are developed under the Vibrant Village Program to promote border tourism and local livelihoods.
- Nathu-La, already a tourist spot, is another site included under the Rannbhoomi Darshan initiative in Sikkim.
