  • Bihar will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11, and the results will be declared on November 14.
  • The Election Commission has rolled out 17 new reforms to be implemented first in Bihar, then nationwide.
  • Reduction of the voter limit to 1,200 electors per polling station, down from the previous 1,500.
  • Allowance of candidate booths only outside a 100-metre radius from polling stations on election day.
  • Implementation of 100 percent webcasting coverage at all polling stations to enhance transparency.
  • Revision of Electronic Voting Machine ballot guidelines to include colour photographs of candidates and larger serial numbers.
  • Mandatory counting and verification of Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips in case of discrepancies between Form 17C and EVM results.
