- The summit was part of the 21-point action plan announced by Prime Minister at the 6th BIMSTEC Summit.
- The summit focused on 21st-century leadership that is resilient, inclusive, and responsive to diversity.
- In August 2025, India also hosted the first BIMSTEC Traditional Music Festival titled ‘Sapt-Sur’ in line with BIMSTEC cultural initiatives.
