- ISRO launched a landmark mission - BlueBird Block-2 into the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) by using the LVM3 launch vehicle (GSLV-MK III).
- It carrying a massive 6,100-kilogram communication satellite of US's AST Space Mobile.
- This launch being popularly described as ‘Baahubali’ to highlight its scale.
- This is AST Space Mobile Inc's largest-ever satellite from India.
- It is the first in a series of deployments to help the company compete against Elon Musk’s Starlink.
