- India has joined the BRICS Centre for Industrial Competencies (BCIC) to strengthen manufacturing skills and industrial cooperation among BRICS countries.
- The initiative is implemented in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
- The National Productivity Council (NPC) has been designated as the India centre for BCIC activities.
- The aim is to promote Industry 4.0 skills, manufacturing productivity, and support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
