- The BWF (Badminton World Federation) World Junior Championships returned to India after 17 years and are being held in Guwahati, Assam.
- The event includes two segments: the Suhandinata Cup (mixed team event) and the Eye-Level Cup (individual events).
- India has previously won 11 individual medals in the tournament and hosted its last edition in Pune in 2008.
- With the 2025 edition, India becomes the fourth Asian country to host the championships twice.
