Chennai One is a mobile application launched by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister on September 22, 2025.
The app acts as a unified platform for planning and booking trips across Chennai city.
It supports multiple transport modes, including Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses, Chennai Metro Rail, suburban trains, autos, and cabs.
The app allows users to generate a single QR (Quick Response) code ticket valid across supported transport services.
The Chennai Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (CUMTA) initiated the project over two years ago.
It is described as "India's first" integrated public transport ticketing system.
