- The Booker Prize Foundation has announced the Children’s Booker Prize.
- It is a new £50,000 award for children’s fiction supported by the AKO Foundation.
- The prize will honour the best fiction for children aged eight to twelve, written in or translated into English, and published in the United Kingdom (UK) or Ireland.
- It will launch in 2026 and be awarded annually from 2027, marking the foundation’s first new prize in twenty years.
