India and the U.S. signed a 10-year framework to guide strategic collaboration and cooperation across the defence sector.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and reviewed ongoing defence engagements.
The framework provides unified policy direction to transform and expand the defence partnership over the next decade.
Areas of collaboration include military exercises, intelligence sharing, defence industry and technology partnerships, and joint mechanisms for strategic coordination.
