- India is developing Dhvani, a Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV), capable of flying above Mach 5 (over 7,400 kilometres per hour).
- It is designed by the DRDO with indigenous technology for long-range precision strikes.
- Dhvani uses a stealth-optimized blended wing-body structure with heat-resistant ceramic composites that withstand up to 3,000 degrees Celsius.
- It is expected to have a range of 6,000 to 10,000 kilometres and may be operational by 2029.
