Digital Connectivity Rating (DCR) Platform

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) launched the Digital Connectivity Rating (DCR) Platform and mobile app to assess indoor digital connectivity across properties in India.
The platform is administered by TRAI under the Ministry of Communications and follows the TRAI (Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity) Regulations, 2024, amended in May 2026.
It assesses fibre readiness, 4G/5G coverage, Wi-Fi and in-building connectivity in areas such as common spaces, lifts and basements.
Registered Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies (DCRAs) use a mobile app to conduct on-site signal-strength and internet-speed tests.
Aadhaar-based eSign verifies assessment reports, while QR-coded certificates allow public verification.
It aims to make indoor digital connectivity a measurable property feature and encourage developers to include Digital Connectivity Infrastructure (DCI) in buildings.
