- The policy covers four ‘A+’ category cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai—and nine ‘A’ category cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad.
- Digital radio services will operate in simulcast mode, allowing one analog, three digital, and one data channel on a single frequency.
- The government will select a single digital radio technology for India and assign frequencies through auction under the Telecommunication Act, 2023.
