- Odisha has deployed 450 electric buses (e-buses) in urban areas, placing it fifth in India for e-bus adoption.
- The state has surpassed West Bengal (391), Andhra Pradesh (238), Chhattisgarh (215), and Jharkhand (46) in e-bus deployment.
- As of now, 14,329 e-buses are operational across India.
- Delhi (3,564), Maharashtra (3,296), Karnataka (2,236), and Uttar Pradesh (850) are leading the count.
- Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) is expanding services through schemes like PM-eBus Sewa and PM e-Drive to new cities, including Sambalpur and Berhampur.
