  • The Central Health Ministry plans to integrate the Rare Donor Registry of India (RDRI) with e-Rakt Kosh, the national blood bank management platform.
  • The e-Rakt Kosh is developed under the National Health Mission (NHM).
  • It offers real-time information on blood banks, availability, and donation camps.
  • It aims to benefit the people with rare blood types like Bombay, Rh-null, and P-Null by easing access to compatible donors.
  • The RDRI was created by ICMR–National Institute of Immunohematology (NIIH) and four partnering institutes.
