- The Entry/Exit System (EES) will start at Schengen Area borders.
- EES automates border checks for non-EU and non-European Free Trade Association (EFTA) short-stay travellers.
- It replaces manual passport stamping with digital registration of personal and biometric data.
- Full implementation across all 29 Schengen countries will be completed by April 10, 2026.
