Expansion of India's Digital Platforms

  • 24 countries have partnered with India to adopt India Stack, strengthening India's global Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives.
  • India Stack includes Unified Payments Interface (UPI), DigiLocker, Aadhaar, electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC), electronic Sign (eSign), and the Account Aggregator framework.
  • DigiLocker has begun implementation in Kenya and Cuba, while UPI merchant payments are available in 10 international markets.
  • India is also in discussions with countries such as Laos, Seychelles, Armenia, Fiji, Guyana, Colombia, and Venezuela to expand its digital governance platforms.
  • The initiative aims to promote digital governance, financial inclusion, paperless public services, and international digital cooperation.
