  • 19-year-old Divya Deshmukh has won the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2025 in Batumi, Georgia.
  • She became the first Indian woman to win the chess World Cup.
  • She also became the India’s 88th and India’s fourth woman to become a grand master.
  • It was after Humpy, R. Vaishali, and Harika Dronavalli.
  • The final match was held between compatriots K. Humpy (Andhra Pradesh) and Divya (Maharashtra).
