- The first Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Traditional Music Festival was held in New Delhi.
- Artists from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand performed, showcasing the rich musical heritage of the seven member countries.
- The festival named ‘SaptaSur: Seven Nations One Melody’ was organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
- The initiative follows the Prime Minister’s commitment at the BIMSTEC Summit in Thailand to strengthen regional cultural ties through music.
