First Indian Gasoline Shipment – Russia

Russia has imported gasoline from India for the first time as Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries have reduced domestic fuel production.
Ukrainian strikes have reduced Russia’s refining capacity, forcing it to restrict fuel exports and seek gasoline from countries including India and Belarus.
The first shipment of around 42,000 tonnes of gasoline was supplied by Nayara Energy from its Vadinar refinery in Gujarat and reached Russia.
The fuel was transferred between tankers at Damietta, Egypt, before being transported to Russia.
Russia’s crude processing fell to about 3.6 million barrels per day in July, around one-third below its normal seasonal level.
