First module of the Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS)

India is working towards establishing its own space station by 2035.
The first module of the proposed Bharatiya Antariksha Station was already approved by ISRO.
The first module of the station is known as BAS-01.
It is planned as a 52-tonne space station in low-Earth orbit at an altitude of 400 to 450 kilometres.
It is designed to support a crew of three to four astronauts for stays of three to six months.
The proposed station will consist of five modules
While the Gaganyaan mission is also in the pipeline.
