- Tamil Nadu Finance Minister presented the First Supplementary Estimates for the financial year 2025–26.
- A total allocation of ₹2,914.99 crore was proposed in the estimates.
- ₹471.53 crore was sanctioned for the procurement of 3,000 new Bharat Stage VI (BS-VI) buses.
- The new buses will replace aged vehicles in the state transport undertakings.
- ₹469.84 crore was allocated for implementing the Kalaignarin Kanavu Illam scheme.
- The scheme will be carried out by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.
