  • A surgeon in Scotland performed a robotic thrombectomy on a cadaver in the United States, covering 4,000 miles.
  • The surgery performed was a thrombectomy, a minimally invasive procedure to remove blood clots after a stroke.
  • The system allowed the surgeon to operate remotely while monitoring live X-ray images in real time.
  • The procedure used a robot developed by Sentante with connectivity support from Nvidia and Ericsson.
