- Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows made up 2.3% of all the capital formation in India in 2024.
- India attracted $27.6 billion of FDI inflows in 2024, down 1.8% from 2023.
- It was also less than half the amount seen in 2020.
- In South Asia, India accounts for nearly 80% of the region’s FDI inflows.
