- Geographical Indication (GI) were granted to two traditional Lepcha musical instruments, Tungbuk and Pumtong Pulit of Sikkim.
- The GI certificates were presented during the 1st Tribal Business Conclave in New Delhi.
- The Tungbuk is a three-string instrument, and the Pumtong Pulit is a bamboo flute.
- Both instruments are integral to Lepcha folk music and hold cultural and spiritual significance.
