- The report was prepared in collaboration with the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS).
- It studied 97 government schools under the State’s Green Schools initiative.
- Each school saved an average of 3,572 electricity units and about ₹26,000 per year.
- The Green Schools programme has been expanded to 300 government schools across almost all districts.
- The study estimates that statewide expansion could offset up to 91% of power consumption in government, aided educational institutions and hospitals.
