- The Tamil Nadu government has issued guidelines to the District Collectors for issuing ‘pouthi pattas’.
- They are also known as succession pattas and issued to legal heirs in cases where the pattadhars have deceased.
- Earlier, the ‘pouthi pattas’ were issued routinely during jamabandhis held in the State.
