Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025, also called Gurpurab, marked the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism.
The day is celebrated on November 5, which coincides with Kartik Purnima and symbolized peace, equality, and devotion to one God.
He was born in 1469 at Rai Bhoi Ki Talwandi (now Nankana Sahib, Pakistan).
Guru Nanak spread messages of truth, compassion, and service across Asia.
Major celebrations took place at the Golden Temple (Amritsar), Bangla Sahib (Delhi), and Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan).
Guru Nanak’s teachings of Naam Japna (meditation), Kirat Karni (honest work), and Vand Chakna (sharing) continue to inspire universal harmony.
