- The Indian armed forces signed with Israel for additional satellite-linked Heron Mk II UAVs under emergency procurement after Operation Sindoor.
- Heron Mk II is a medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).
- The UAV can fly up to 35,000 ft, has a top speed of 150 knots, and an operating range of over 1,000 km.
- Heron Mk II carries electro-optical/infra-red (EO/IR) sensors, long-range radars, and ELINT/COMINT systems for intelligence gathering and target tracking.
