On August 6, 1945, the United States dropped the first atomic bomb in human history on the Japanese city of Hiroshima.
Delivered by the B-29 bomber aircraft, the nuclear bomb was codenamed 'Little Boy' and ended up killing over 140,000 people.
This year, Japan marks the 80th anniversary of the deadly bombing.
