HIV/AIDS Child Welfare Scheme

Tamil Nadu has enhanced monthly financial assistance for children affected by HIV/AIDS, effective from November 2026.
Children living with HIV who have lost both parents will receive ₹3,000 per month; those who have lost one parent will receive ₹2,000.
Children living with their parents and uninfected children who lost both parents to HIV/AIDS will receive ₹1,500 per month.
An additional ₹1.21 crore has been allocated for the scheme to support nutrition, education and continuous treatment.
