- India’s pharmaceutical exports rose 5.21 percent to 7.57 billion dollars in the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26.
- Imports increased by 4.21 percent to 786 million dollars during the same period.
- Last financial year, pharmaceutical exports increased 9.39 percent to 30.47 billion dollars from 27.85 billion dollars in FY 2023-24.
- Major import categories were bulk drugs and drug intermediaries, accounting for 46 percent of total pharma imports.
