- India’s defence production reached a record ₹1.54 lakh crore in FY 2024‑25.
- Indigenous defence production was ₹1,27,434 crore in FY 2023‑24, a 174% increase from ₹46,429 crore in 2014‑15.
- Defence exports rose to ₹23,622 crore in FY 2024‑25, up from less than ₹1,000 crore in 2014.
- Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) contributed 77% of production, and the private sector contributed 23%.
- Two Defence Industrial Corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu attracted ₹9,145 crore investments and 289 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
- The Government aims to achieve ₹3 lakh crore in defence production and ₹50,000 crore in exports by 2029.
