- India and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) to begin Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.
- The EAEU includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic with a combined GDP of $6.5 trillion.
- The trade between India and the EAEU reached $69 billion in 2024, marking a 7% rise from 2023.
- The FTA aims to boost market access for Indian exporters and benefit micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
