- PM of India holds talks with Namibian President Nandi-Ndaitwah at the capital of Namibia, Windhoek.
- It was part of his five-nation tour to Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil and Namibia.
- This is his first visit to Namibia and the third-ever by an Indian Prime Minister to the country.
- Namibia conferred him with the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis, Namibia’s highest civilian award.
- Namibia now also became the first African country to officially adopt India’s UPI payment system.
- It has also completed the formalities to join the India-led Coalition of Disaster Resilient Infrastructure and the Global Biofuel Alliance.
