  • Chief of Army Staff General announced a three-phase roadmap to transform the Indian Army into a fully integrated, future-ready force by 2047.
  • Phase 1 (till 2032) focuses on capability development, force structure, and operational readiness; Phase 2 (till 2037) consolidates gains; Phase 3 (till 2047) aims for next-generation warfare readiness.
  • Four key pillars guide transformation: Self-reliance (Atma Nirbharta), Innovation (Anusandhan), Adaptation (Anukulan), and Integration (Ekikaran).
  • India’s military reforms align with the national vision of Viksit Bharat and the Prime Minister’s 5S framework: respect, dialogue, cooperation, prosperity, and security.
