- The report noted that 20 of 29 National Capital Region (NCR) cities had worse pollution than in November 2024.
- Other highly polluted NCR cities included Delhi, Noida, Bahadurgarh, Greater Noida and Baghpat.
- The pollution increase was mainly due to urban emissions, traffic, dust and winter inversion, despite fewer stubble fires.
- Shillong (Meghalaya) emerged as the cleanest city, with PM2.5.
