- India’s total installed power capacity reached 5.05 lakh megawatt as of 31 October 2025.
- Non-fossil fuel capacity (2,59,423 MW) is now higher than fossil-fuel capacity (2,45,600 MW).
- India has achieved 2,50,643 MW from renewable energy, supporting the target of 500 gigawatt (GW) non-fossil capacity by 2030.
- The aim is to expand nuclear capacity to 100 GW by 2047, supported by missions for small modular reactors and new fuel development.
