International Childhood Cancer Day 2026 – February 15

  • It aims to raise awareness about childhood cancer and promote early detection and equal access to treatment.
  • The day was first recognised in 2002 by the International Confederation of Childhood Cancer Parent Organizations (ICCCPO).
  • Over 400,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer globally each year.
  • It supports the goal of the WHO to increase the childhood cancer survival rate to at least 60% by 2030.
  • The theme for the year 2026 is “Demonstrating Impact — From Challenge to Change.”
