- Israel and Egypt signed a long-term natural gas export agreement valued at about 34.6 billion United States dollars (USD).
- Israeli company NewMed Energy will supply around 130 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Egypt.
- The gas will be sourced from offshore fields in the Mediterranean Sea.
- Egypt will act as a regional hub for the processing and distribution of the gas.
