- Indian Railways has commissioned the Kavach 4.0 safety system on the Mathura to Kota section of the Delhi to Mumbai route.
- Kavach 4.0 is an indigenously developed Automatic Train Protection System approved by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO).
- The system is designed at Safety Integrity Level 4 (SIL 4), which is the highest global safety standard in rail operations.
- Kavach 4.0 enables automatic braking and signal visibility inside the loco cab even during low visibility conditions.
